I unfortunately had to attend funeral services recently for an elderly friend of the family. It amazes me how some of us can keep our sense of humour through the worst of times...Perhaps that what keeps us going.Take for example the elderly widow at the funeral home. The undertaker came up to her just before the service was to start and, trying to make small talk, he asked, "How old was your husband?""98 years old," she replied. "Just two years older than me.""So you’re 96," the undertaker said.Without missing a beat the elderly widow responded, "Hardly worth going home, is it?"Always remember the words of Mark Twain..."Humour is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations and resentments slip away, and a sunny spirit takes their place."
So smile and make it a great day!
